Kelly A Maki
With more than a decade of customer service experience and years of expertise in the insurance industry, Kelly has been serving clients and providing customers with exceptional service for all their insurance needs.
She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Saint Joseph’s College and her Master’s in Business Administration from Indiana University.
Kelly started her insurance career with Chicago Motor Club, AAA, selling P&C and life insurance. After years of excellent service and success she left to expand her knowledge and experience with Sentry Mutual Insurance Company of Stevens Point, WI.
In 2012, she began to see that in order to best serve the varied needs and interests of clients; she needed to offer products and services from all of the top Insurance and Financial Services companies available. Rather than being tied solely to one company’s limited product line, Maki Insurance Group was created to be able to provide these products and services to the local community.
Rebekah McCollam
Bekah has over two decades of customer service, including many years in the medical field.
Bekah is an important part of Maki Insurance Group as she dedicates each day to the logistics of the agency to insure each of our customers feel valued and their customer service expectations are met.
In Bekah’s free time, she loves to bake, both as a hobby for family and friends as well as a part time side business. Bekah is a loving and proud mother of three children, two boys and one sweet little girl. Her oldest son will be joining the Army in the fall and her youngest son will be married in the fall. Bekah is excited for the upcoming marriage and looking forward to the many wonderful things to come for her and her children.
Samantha Newbeck
Samantha has nearly two decades of customer service experience. She prides herself on providing customers excellent service and making sure all of our insurance needs are met.
Within Samantha’s customer service experience, she has worked many roles including restaurant service, licensed pharmacy technician, and call center manager for AAA. After 4 years working with AAA, Samantha knew she wanted to expand her knowledge, specifically when it came to insurance.
In 2019, she relocated back to her hometown of Portage, Indiana after living in Grand Rapids, Michigan for 6 years and started her career at Maki Insurance Group as a Customer Service Representative. She has a 3-year-old daughter that keep her very busy and enjoys traveling back to Michigan when she can to visit with friends and family.
Brenda Rosenquist
Brenda Rosenquist joined the agency in May 2022 as a Customer Service Assistant. She brings over 20 years of experience in customer service and will focus on assisting our agents in the everyday service to our customers. The agency is confident that she will provide you with the excellent service that you have come to expect from Maki Insurance.
Brenda resides in Portage, IN with her husband John and their two children, Maya and Cayde. In her spare time she enjoys reading, but above all she loves being a mother and spending time with her family.
Stephanie Shaffer
Stephanie joined the Maki Insurance family in January 2023. She received her licenses in property and casualty and life and health shortly after and has been focusing a lot of her time on commercial lines. Stephanie has worked in customer service for over 2 decades and puts pride in helping our clients.
Stephanie was born and raised in Northwest Indiana and currently lives in Cedar Lake. When the everyday chaos calms down, she enjoys spending time with friends and family. Stephanie along with her husband and two boys have a love of animals and enjoy spending time in nature.
